The following warranty is reproduced word for word from the originals that were included with scales that we received from the manufacturer in early November 2003.
Thank you for using American Weigh. All American Weigh Scales come with a manufacturer direct 1 year warranty.
This warranty will cover all defective scales within the warranty period. You must provide a copy of your receipt and this warranty card to verify the date of purchase. This warranty will be void if the scale has been damaged due to misuse, physical abuse, accident, unauthorized service, or other cause not arising out of defects in materials or workmanship.
During the ten year warranty period, if your scale fails to work properly when used under normal conditions, American Weigh will repair, or at our option, replace it without charge. The user is responsible for the shipping charges to send the defective scale with the purchase receipt and warranty card back to American Weigh customer service. We will pay the shipping cost to return the repaired or replaced scale. There are no other charges to the consumer for warranty coverage other than the shipping cost back to the manufacturer.
