|
The following instructions are reproduced word for word from the original instructions that were included with scales that we received from the manufacturer in early November 2003.
Thank you for purchasing the American Weigh AMW-150 digital pocket scale. With proper treatment, your scale will provide years of reliable service. It may be necessary to calibrate the scale prior to use. Please read ALL operating instructions carefully before use.
PROPER HANDLING
Avoid exposure to extreme heat or cold. Your scale should be operated at normal room temperature. Always allow the scale to adjust to room temperature for one hour per degree change prior to use.
Give your scale sufficient warm up time. It usually takes 20-60 seconds for the internal components to stabilize.
CARING FOR YOUR SCALE
Your scale should be kept in a clean environment free from dust, dirt, moisture, and vibration. Do not place close to other electronic equipment. All can adversely affect the reliability and accuracy of your scale.
Handle with care. All items to be weighed should be placed gently onto weighing surface. Although this scale is designed to be quite durable, rough treatment may permanently damage the internal sensor.
Avoid shaking, dropping or otherwise shocking the scale. This is a precision instrument and must be handled with extreme care. Only operate scale on a stable, vibration free surface. |
