AC AdaptorThe AC Adaptor isn't an available option for a majority of handheld and pocket-sized digital scales. Among the few models that have the option, even fewer actually give you the adaptor.
AccuracyWhen referring to digital scale specifications, the accuracy indicates the smallest unit that a model is capable of measuring. Most of our models are accurate to 0.1 gram.
Auto-ShutoffThe auto-shutoff feature is found in a majority of the scales that we sell. These scales will turn themselves off after a specified period of inactivity. Some models won't perform the auto-shutoff if the ac adaptor is the active power source. This really is a nice feature that can save you the frustration and expense of wasted batteries.
CapacityCapacity is the maximum weight that can be measured on any particular model. Note: It's important that you avoid exceeding the recommended capacity of your scale. All of the brands we carry are made to withstand reasonable use, but repeated or extreme overloads could result in permanent damage to the sensitive electronic components. This kind of damage will usually be looked upon as abuse and can void the manufacturer warranty.
Calibration WeightCalibration weights are included with a good number of our scales, but can also be purchased as an accessory. They're a useful tool for recalibration and checking the accuracy of your digital scale.

Last Weight MemoryThe Last Weight Memory function enables the user to store and add weight values. The memory feature is useful when the individual weight of several samples is needed in addition to the total gross weight.
LCD ScreenAlso known as a liquid crystal display, you should recognize these low-power flat-panel displays from laptop computers, calculators and digital watches.
Low Battery IndicatorThis one seems pretty obvious.

Tare FunctionThis feature removes the weight of an empty container or weight tray from your final measurement. Place the empty container on the platform and wait for the reading to stabilize. Press the Tare key and the display returns to zero. You've discounted the weight of the container and only the net weight of the sample will be read. Please Note: Don't be surprised when you remove the container and see the tared value displayed as a negative number!
Techtronic Sensor
Weighing ModesThis usually refers to the weight measurements that you can use on any given unit. The scales on our site have up to four settings that include grams, ounces, troy ounces and pennyweights.
Weighing TraysA fair number of the digital pocket scales that we sell are equipped with weighing trays that can assist in containing the material to be weighed. A few of the units have ingeniously designed covers and lids that can double as weighing trays.
Zero FeatureThis is really the same thing as Tare Function above.
