|
The following instructions are reproduced word for word from the original english instructions that were included with scales that we received from the manufacturer in late October 2003. The original also included Dutch, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish translations... I don't have the time!
Please read the following instructions before use.
Capacity / Accuracy: 120g / 0.1g Note: Do not exceed 120g. Overloading may cause damage and void warranty.
Power Source: Two (2) LR44 Button Cells.
Battery Installation:
- Turn the scale upside down. Remove the battery compartment cover by pressing on the arrow and sliding cover off.
- Place two new LR44 Button Cell batteries into designated battery spaces.
- Replace battery compartment cover. The scale is now ready for battery operation.
Note: Do not use excessive force in either removing or replacing the battery compartment cover.
Operation:
- Place scale on flat surface in sheltered area.
- Expose scale 'display' and control keys by turning the top section of the scale clockwise.
- Turn the scale on by pressing the _ key.
- Allow scale to stabilize for a minimum of 20 seconds.
- When the scale is initially turned on, the display will appear for two seconds and then will set itself to zero.
- When zero appears the scale is ready to use.
- Gently place object to be weighed on the weighing platform.
- Wait for the display reading to stabilize. Read weight.
- To change the readout of the scale from grams (g) to ounces (oz) simply press and hold the _ key.
- To reset the scale to zero to accomodate the tray or another weighing container, put the tray on the platform, wait for the readout to stabilize, and then press the _ key. This may also be done automatically by placing the tray on the weighing platform before turning the scale on. The readout will automatically read zero, compensating for the weight. To erase this calibration, simply press the _ key. Note: When tray is removed from the platform when a customized calibration is set the scale will read out a negative number. Press the _ key to erase this.
- Press the _ key to turn the scale off. Note: This product also comes with an auto-off function. The scale will turn itself off after approximately 30 seconds of inactivity.

Caution: Do not place more than the capacity of the scale on the weighing platform. Excessive weight will overload the scale and cause the display to read 'E'. Abuse of this type can cause fatal damage and voids the warranty. This scale is a sensitive electronic instrument. Avoid vibrations, strong electrical or magnetic fields, and rapid changes in humidity or temperature as they can adversely affect accuracy.
Care and Maintenance: Avoid lengthy exposure to extreme heat or cold. To achieve optimum functioning, allow this unit to acclimate to a normal room temperature before use. Allow scale a minimum of thirty seconds to warm up before calibration to allow internal components to stabilize. Keep this product clean. Dust, dirt, and moisture can adversely affect the reliability and accuracy of this scale. Vibrations, air currents and proximity to other electronic equipment may affect the accuracy of this product. Avoid disturbing the environmental conditions when weighing. Be sure weighing is done with scale on a flat surface in a sheltered area. Handle with care. Although this product is durable, rough treatment may permanently damage the internal sensor. Keep scale in protective case when not in use. Remember to replace batteries regularly. |
