Online Instruction Manual VX-200 by Vector Scales |
|
The following instructions are reproduced word for word from the original instructions that were included with scales that we received from the manufacturer in late October 2003.
Thank you for purchasing this quality precision weighing instrument. Please use the following instructions for optimal results.
Batteries:
The VX-200 uses one AA battery. To install simply remove the battery case cover and insert the battery with the negative (-) side of the battery in contact with the spring. Replace the battery case cover and you are ready to start weighing! Please note, do not use excessive force in either removing or replacing the battery cover.
Weighing:
- Always let the scale warm up for 20 seconds or so after turning on, before using.
- Turn the scale on by pressing the on key.
- As the scale turns on, the display will appear for 2 seconds, and will set itself to zero.
- To change the readout of the scale between grams (g) and ounces (oz), press the mode key and hold it for 3 seconds.
- Do not place more than the capacity of the scale on the weighing platform, or the scale will read E. If the capacity of the scale is exceeded too many times, it may become damaged permanently: This is considered abuse and is not covered by the warranty.
- To reset the scale to zero to accomodate the tray, or another weighing container, put the tray on the weighing platform, wait for the readout to stabilize, and press the zero key. The other way is to place the tray on the platform before turning the scale on, and it will read zero automatically.
- If the weighing container is removed after being zeroed, the scale will read a negative value. Press the zero key again to return the scale readout to zero.
- This scale features an auto-off function. If no activity takes place with the scale, the scale will turn itself off after approximately 30 seconds.
Note: As this scale is an accurate electronic instrument, please avoid vibrations, strong electrical or magnetic fields, or rapid changes in humidity or temperature when weighing. |
